Dryer Vent
The dryer vent is connected to a clothes dryer that is used to screen lint and remove dryer exhaust.
The exterior vent has a flap under the hood. The flap must be able to move freely to allow dryer exhaust to escape when the dryer is running and to fall closed when the dryer is not in use.
Ensuring your dryer and vent are connected correctly is very important. Keeping the dryer and vent lint free is critical since trapped lint can lead to fires, high energy costs and damages to your dryer.
Pacesetter Warranty Policy:
Common concerns:
- Interior vent not extended enough to clamp on flex hose – the vent coming into the house shall extend 2 to 3 inches past the wall to allow hook up to the dryer.
- Exterior vent flap not moving freely – report this immediately to Pacesetter Warranty during the warranty period.
