new-home-basement-suite-featured-image.pngIt’s often said that investing in a house makes wise financial sense. Many people understand that buying a home will provide financial stability in the future. But what if there was a way for your home to generate income right away? Enter stage left: a basement suite!

This convenient and smart way to utilize the basement is an option Pacesetter Homes is proud to offer when building a new home. Complete with a separate locked entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry; you have a stunning home within your home to rent out for extra income. Of course, you can also take advantage of this suite as a cozy place for a friend or family member to reside.

Let us show you what this suite could look like to help you decide if this is something you’d like to explore further. Recently, we built a suite in one of our models.

Entrance options for basement suite

The first entrance into the suite is located through the main floor of the house. There is a vestibule between the entrance door and the main floor door that provides privacy while also enhancing the sound-proofing. The external door that leads into the suite assures privacy for both you and the tenant. This separate entrance is also something that is attractive to potential renters.

Beautifully elegant laminate flooring covers the main area of the space. When going down the stairs you are greeted by this flooring and a nook that leads into the mechanical room and a closet.

The family room is also brightened by the tall ceiling and open window. The open concept space allows for your imagination to run wild with ideas.

The swinging double-doors provide a charming elegance to the suite while also enhancing the sound-proofing. Whether you want a little more privacy or you want to swing the doors wide open, these doors add a dramatic effect to the suite.

Madison E basement suite bathroom image.pngThe stunning bathroom comes complete with everything you expect and a dash of panache with a bold tile selection that you can choose. This is not your typical basement bathroom!

The first bedroom is illuminated by the natural light that comes through the large window. With plush carpeting, you don’t have to worry about your feet hitting an ice cold floor the moment you wake up.

The second bedroom is also another bright and warm space that provides the comfort you seek in a bedroom. Having a second bedroom is a very attractive option for potential renters while also increasing the amount you can charge for the lease.

The plumbing, exhaust, and electrical for a washer and dryer are roughed-in for your convenience. Also, tucked in between the bathroom and the two bedrooms, the laundry space remains slightly hidden so it’s not a prominent feature of the suite.

The moment you enter the suite, it feels less like a basement and more like a modern, upscale apartment. The visual lines are crisp and the tone is welcoming.
