Gas Fireplace

pacesetter_homes_construction_warranty_gas_fireplace

Gas fireplaces create a fire for enjoyment and localized warmth.

The mantle (shelf and face) and hearth (flooring in front) are the decorative areas that surround the fireplace.

The Fireplace Vent (see below) is a covered vent that directs undesired heat and gas out of your home through a metal duct/cover on the exterior of your home. NOTE:  the vent gets VERY hot.

Pacesetter Warranty Policy:

Common concerns:

  1. Fireplace will not turn on – check the troubleshooting manual with your fireplace. If this does not help, contact Pacesetter Warranty in the first year.
  2. Floor in front of fireplace is ice cold in winter – the fireplace is typically cantilevered, so it will always be a bit cold, but if the cold is excessive, please notify Pacesetter Warranty during the warranty period.
  3. Wall above fireplace is hot – this is normal. Installing a fan will help to direct the heat outward rather than upward.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you smell any gas, leave the area immediately.  Do not turn appliances on or off.  Do not use cell phones. At a neighbor’s house, contact ATCO Gas at 780-420-5585.
