Exterior Exhaust and Intake Pipes

pacesetter_homes_construction_warranty_exhaust_intake

These venting pipes are for the furnace and hot water tank. They must be kept open and free from obstruction such as snow, ice, plants and debris. Preventing the exhaust vent pipe from plugging up, and also the fresh-air intake, is critical to maintaining a safe and properly operating furnace and hot water tank. If any of these pipes does not function correctly, sensors in the furnace or hot water tank can shut the entire unit down.

Pacesetter Warranty Policy:

Common concerns:

  1. Water dripping off ends – this is normal. High efficiency furnaces build up condensation which needs to be eliminated.
  2. Pipe dripping at joint – the seal has released. Warranty coverage for 1 year.
  3. Installation errors – the pipes should not face each other and should be 12” apart from opening to opening.
